I just moved my daughter's Betta into my 10 gallon tank, I figured he would be happier in there than in the 1 gallon vase we had him in. (got rid of the goldfish out of there by taking them back to the lfs) So now the inhabitants are as follows:
1 Betta
5 neons
1 Dwarf African Frog

Does this sound ok? Am I overstocked? I am watching the beta carefully, at the first sign of aggression towards anyone he is outta there. But he seems to be doing ok. He just seems curious. And everyone else is acting normal too...so far so good. Has anyone had experience with a combination like this not working out? I would like to hear from you before disaster strikes my tank, if so...

I agree with what was stated by Siluiformesaka above. Does not sound overstocked and as long as your betta is behaving itself everything should be kosher. Just curious, is it a male betta?

Yes, a male beta...so far so good. He hasn't been overly aggressive...but I'm still watching him...

I don't think you'll run into any problems, but if you do, you could just move the neons into the 29. Welcome to Fish Profiles!

Sounds like a nice combination and not overstocked. The success of keeping bettas in community tanks really depends on the individual fish.

Hope it works out for you
