Is there anything, such as a snail, that I can put in there to take care of the algae?? The only thing that is in the tank now is 1 red capped oranda. Thanks in advance, Stella ![]() |

The are awesome little fish, and very efficient. They'll probably have your entire tank free of brown algae in a week, they love the stuff so much! |

I sent Sin In Style a bag of 'em, and now he's overrun with 'em... but they cleared his tank of brown algae lickety split! |

You could try some shrimp too, normally they're pretty awesome cleaners too... PM/email/msg me if you have any questions/comments regarding me or my knowledge or if you want me to read a thread. |

I think the temp stays at about 73 during the day and drops to 72 at night. Thanks again, Stella |

Just be careful of your water parameters as otto's can be quite very very sensitive... I myself have the malaysian trumpet snails, ghost shrimp and an albino bristle nose for the algae problem that I had... but you have to do what is best for you and your tank (and what is available to you). Good luck! ![]() |
