Surely they would do better with the other Tetras.

Like the new voting system, very clean ...

Sorry, right, the actual question. I'd go with the Bolivians - seeing them color up will be fun fun fun.

I would definitely have to say Bolivian Rams. I am in love with the one I have. Probably more so if I got another one to pair it.

oooh no its too hard, id say rams they are a bit more colourful and are lovely fish... but they do hang around the bottom, i wouldnt go with the rummynose, like someone else said, think you'd miss a bigger fish.

I've had rummynoses and lemon tetras in the same tank before. It was actually quite pretty, especially since they both formed their own schools. I think that should be your choice unless you're going to miss having a larger fish.

I'd go with a small, catchy pleco and cardinals, but since neither of those are choices, I'd say keyholes. Rummies + lemons = a strange, bizarre mixture of red and yellow which isn't all that visually appealing, IMO.

No they aren't, because two of those votes have been disqualified. Right now, the totals stand at: Keyholes, 2. Bolivian rams, 2. Rummynose tetras, 1.

I have a 29 gallon South American tank, with a betta (who will be moved soon), six polystictus cories, and six lemon tetras. I don't have an eye-catching fish in there, and I still have plenty of room. I was thinking about adding the following: A pair of Bolivian rams, or a pair of keyhole cichlids, or a school of six rummynose tetras. I wouldn't mind having a breeding pair of cichlids, but then again, the rummynose tetras certainly are nice-looking.

Any opinions?

I'd go with either of the cichlids if you could get them. My first choice would be keyholes...interesting looking, curious, peaceful, active

I vote for the keyholes, since you need a centerpiece fish. The rams would probably stay close to the bottom, so they wouldn't be the best for that.

They shade the glow of it with their mossy-misty costumes,
They wear masks of silk, porcelain, brass, and silver,
So as not to mislead with their own, ordinary faces.

hmm well i like all 3 of those fish but i'd go with keyholes coz they look really nice IMO and mine aren't shy at all like other ppl say they are and they are always at the front of the tank watching me

i'd go for the bolivian rams, they look great and are certainly compatible in that tank, the agassiz would also look good infact any peaceful dwarf cichilds would be a good addition

Just a sidenote...

I ordered seven pairs of Cobra Guppies from Foster & Smith (LiveAquaria.com) and received them in excellent condition here in Florida.

The shipment was from California.

What about apistos? If it were my tank I'd go with a pair of A. agassizi. Closest of what you've listed would probably be the rams.
