Stocking a 38 gal | |
aquapickle27 Enthusiast Posts: 182 Kudos: 98 Votes: 55 Registered: 28-Jan-2006 | I have an empty 38 gallon(still waiting for a stand), and i am not sure what to stock it with. I plan to plant it pretty heavily. The dimensions are 36" long, 20" tall, and 12" deep. I was thinking of some of the following possibilities: -A school of harlequin rasboras (if so how many would you suggest?) -A school of some tetra (any suggestions?) -Set up a breeding tank for either platys or blue rams Any other ideas are welcome! Thanks! †Aquapickle† |

Check out these rams http://www.liveaquaria.com/product/prod_Display.cfm?pCatId=2520 If not rams or platys, maybe some apistos. What kind of algae eater(s) will you have in the tank? JBE |

I'm thinking about some type of centerpiece fish, but haven't decided that yet. I like Katie's suggestion as well. Originally (before I changed my mind 400 times), I wanted that stocking exactly (harlies, lemons, rams and cories). |

How does this look: -I would have maybe 2-3 ottos. -See if i can find a pair of apistos(if there aren't any available i may just go with a pair of either Blue or Bolivian rams) -12 Harlequin Thanks! †Aquapickle† |

The Lambchop are somewhat smaller, which i also like. So substitute about 12 lambchop (Trigonostigma espei) for the 12 harlequin. †Aquapickle† |
