I have a 32 gallon tank, with 6 danios, 6 cories, and 6 black neons. If I were to give the danios away to a friend could I add any angelfish or would they bug the black neons?

An angelfish should be fine with black neons. The black neons get slightly larger than normal neons, so they're less of a mouthful to an angelfish. You might be able to put two angels in there, as long as you are diligent with your tank maintenance.

You could probably add one angelfish and the school of cardinals if you got rid of the danios. I don't know about the ottos, though they are great algae-eaters, they constantly produce waste. You should get someone else's opinion, but I would say no to the ottos.

I'm slightly concerned with angels in a 32 gallon....
They generally require tall tanks...ie 55 and up. What are the dimensions of your tank ?

I've got 2 angels in my 29 gal tank as well as 8 Harlequin Rasaboras and 6 cories (i was told here on this webisite that that'd be an acceptable setup)....They all seem to be happy and healthy....I'm not an expert or anywhere near but i do know what I was told and my experience w/my angels...

So if I go with the 6 black neons, 6 cories, 6 cardinals and 1 angel and no ottos for now, does that sound good?

That sounds like a good setup. Out of curiousity, what kind of cories do you plan on having? Certain kinds act a little differently than others, and are more entertaining.
It looks like you've got a good plan for your tank. When you finish it, don't forget to take pictures!

I already have blue cories. They have velvet and I hope they make it. I now just have to find some one to give my danios to.

Sorry about your blue cories, I hope they get better soon.
I'm no expert at fish illness's, so, I'm asking a dumb question again, does velvet spread? If it does I would hold off on giving your friends the danios, you don't want them carrying it over to her tank.
Just a though.

Yes velvet spreads. I am medicating my tank currently. I don't even have any one to give the danios to yet. I'm gonna try a few lfs to see if they will take them first.

I think i have changed my mind about the angels. I have read another thread on cardinals and angels, and other people have experience their angels eating cardinals. I think maybe I want to go with the gouramies again. Unless anyone else has ideas of a good stocking list.
