I am going to try to breed some German Blue Rams in a month or two once my 20 gallon is empty and wanted to know. It is cheaper to buy them in bulk and I was wondering if this would effect the quality because some of them wouldn't be used immediately. Read and reply ![]() |

I know some people freeze them too, with good results, but I would be concerned about freezer burn. |

You can buy the eggs dried in kits, and potentially they have a dry storage time of up to 50 years ! They make perfectly good fishfood, with some species given a little time growing a great deal bigger than brineshrimp, making for meaty meals for bigger fish. |

Then I resealed the main pack carefully and put them both into the freezer. When I finished using the bbs eggs in the small container, I repeated the process. After 6 month of doing this, I do not notice any degradation of the bbs hatching. |

This eliminates the cumbersome process of resealling, and the reduce the chances of getting water vapour into the package - which is crucial to keep the eggs fresh. |
