My current fish tank is getting too small for my arrowana, intend to change to a bigger tank of 75 gallon in 2 days time, badly need suggestion on ways to move the fish to the new tank. My fish is about 41 cm long.

If you could dip a smaller water bucket or container into your tank and then scoot the arowana into it, that would probably be the easiest way to get it from one tank to the other.. Or, if you have a buddy with one of the large fishing nets that they use to capture a catch from the side of the boat, that would work as well..

Good Luck with it..

You'll want a large bucket or plastic container (food-grade will guarantee it's safe for the fish). Fill it with water and voila, the container you're gonna transport your fish in. Not too hard.

Wouldn't the arrowana will attempt to jump out or struggle alot when lm carrying him out wif the net ?

is there method to make the struggling of the fish to a minimum level ?

as u all know about an arrowana, nobody will wish them to make any jumping consider the power of impact they can make.

When I had to move my 45cm pacu, I used a fishing net. He fit nicely in it (head first), I matched the conditions of the new tank to the old tank so that acclimation was not necessary. I chased (bad word, but I couldn't think of a better one) him into the net then lifted it out, carried him to the other tank and dropped him back in. I steadied him with my free hand (gloved to prevent oiling) while moving between tanks to try to keep thrashing to a minimum.

I know arrowana are a little different, but hopefully something in there will help!

I also weighed him while I had the chance...2.7kg

Hope this helps!

Good luck!

And as a last note, your fish is not huge. Just last week I was reading a post about a guy who received a probably almost 7 foot long Arapaima from a friend. How about transporting that monster?
