| Supplement for Goldfish and Cory | |
wk![]() Fingerling Posts: 32 Kudos: 35 Votes: 0 Registered: 17-Aug-2004 ![]() | Hi, I have ranchu (a type of goldfish) and some cories in a 30 gallon tank. I feed them a mixes of fish food, pellets, goldfish food and cories food. But it gives me a feeling that they are constipated even though I soak the food till they are fully soaked before feeding them. And it doesn't seem too good to let eat only 'processed' fish food only. I am thinking of giving them some supplementary food like vegetables or even fruits for both fishes. Any suggestions ? Thanks. ![]() |

Why do you feel as if they're constipated? If you really do fear for them, just try feeding the fish a shelled pea. That is supposed to help them out, or so I've heard. |

You can feed them just about any veggies, but the favorites are bits of orange, cooked carrots, shelled peas, blanched broccoli, and more! Here's a GREAT goldfish site: http://www.goldfishparadise.com |

So I thought they are constipated. Sometimes they swallow the pellets which are dry and hard if I have no time to soak them till they are soggy. ![]() |

Try feeding more veggies and see if it improves. |
