Hi, I have a mature tank for about 5 years now. It is a 75 gallon 48x18 inch with no center brace. I know the only light that will work is a t5. I am trying to research the different models, but am unable to get some quality feedback. I am looking at the Nova Extreme 2x54w, Satellite 2x65W SunPaq w/Lunar Light and Hagen Glo T5 HO Linear Fluorescent Lighting System models. Any feedback and or recommendations would be greatly appreciated. The only things i know about these 3 models is that the lunar light is appealing to me, however i have also been told I can not use the satellite model with a canopy, which I have also considered. pLease advise...
Regards
Chris

if you wanted to do some shorter fixtures you could always as a local glass cutter to cut you some interval supports for say three 18" fixtures or whatever you desire. you could also use some small wood or metal pieces that are coated and cured with marine varnish 9to prevent anything gorwing on the wood from the moisture (ie mold/mildew/algae/etc) and any warping. there are many ways in shich you can find to use smaller fixtures to get a higher wattage or save a few bucks depending on shipping or sale price.

\\\\\\\"an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of the cure\\\\\\\"

I have an eclipse canopy hood on my 75 and I think it's great. I bought the 4x54w t5 model and the light that comes with the standard model. They are interchangeable. You can run the t5 with 2 or 4 lamps lit and it comes with 2 actinic if you choose salt water.
