That way some light will escape. I was planning on using some kind of fertilizer. Thanks for the suggestion, brandeeno, but I just have plain gravel because I didn't want to put up with the substrate. Good for future reference I guess if I ever want to try it. As for fertilizers, is there any that anyone knows of that won't cause the vals, crypts and densa to melt? Or has anyone had any success with Flourish Excel?
