hcelizondo  Hobbyist Posts: 84 Kudos: 54 Votes: 9 Registered: 20-Oct-2004   | Hey guys I was wondering what are the methods you use to acclimatize new fish, I spent around 2 hours doing it due to I use bottled water instead of tap water and there is a PH difference about 0.5, my method is to float the bag for about 30 min and then start adding water with a small cup evrety 10 min or so, so I'm wondering if everyone does the same thing???  |

Floating the bag gets the fish used to the temperature while adding a little bit of water gets them used to any other chemical differences betwixt the two. I also shut the light off to ease stress further |
