larry c![]() Hobbyist Posts: 95 Votes: 0 Registered: 16-Mar-2004 ![]() | I have thought about putting a tank in my garage. It is a seperate unit with a flat blacktop roof. Air temp range in the garage is 110 degrees to 70 degrees depending on the sun's brightness. Would the water temp get to hot for any type of tropical fish? |

If you could find a way to cool the garage down and keep it down, then there would be no problem. Another route is a chiller for the aquarium. Cheapest I have ever seen them is about $300. |

Also, the humidity level and evaporation rate would be high in this case so you will want to keep that in mind. |

The chiller would be the best solution for all concerned in my opinion. The fish get constant temp, you keep heat in garage and can maintain the tank as you would most other set-ups. |
