The final survivor of my breeding colony of Panda Cories was found dead in the tank this evening

Unfortunately, they never really recovered from the various stresses of being moved 4 times in a year, and as their numbers decreased, their susceptibility to disease seemed to increase. The last survivor was approximately 5 years old, which isn't bad really, I suppose. And I think some of their babies are still alive (used to sell them to a local LFS)

The tank is now on hold until I get a more settled life, so no new fish for a while. I do want to replace them though - try again. They're fun fish to keep!

Aww, I was like that when the last of the parkinsons rainbows died, and the last of the green tigerbarbs.

There are always new generations , and new species afoot though, and a chance to learn something new.

I just hope that you someday can stop, moving so much and settle. I grow up in the US military and we never move that much, even when my father was working out of D.C..

Tis the curse of being a 20-something wannabe career girl

Still - I should be settling in the next few months, then I can do some serious work on the tank and get it back to something approaching beautiful again!

Sorry to hear about your pandas.
I have a herd myself and it would suck to loose them.
They are alot of fun.
Hope you can get more someday.
