IMO Aquarium Fish is a bit more advanced. Often times LFS and the chain pets stores carry either or both, maybe buy an issue or two, see which you like better. If you're looking for strictly freshwater information and nothing else, TFH isn't for you. Freshwater and saltwater content is about a 50/50 ratio. And when he gets to Heaven, to Saint Peter he will tell: "One more Marine reporting, Sir! I've served my time in Hell."

cjp Hobbyist Posts: 145 Kudos: 43 Votes: 0 Registered: 22-Jan-2001	I'm looking for freshwater tropical only,I can get Aquarium Fish at a savings of 67% at 15.00 a year,but it also contains saltwater.But I might get it anyway.Anyone else have their oppinions on their favorite fish magazine?

To be honest, TFH is the much better magazine and Aquarium Fish Magazine is a nice addition to it. If I would have to drop one subscription, there would be no doubt in my mind which one that would be.
