Well, I just wanted to share my expierence with this fish for future reference, so we all know what to tell someone if this problem ever occures again.

Awhile back my halfbreak's lower jaw got broken off in a fight against a zebra danio or a yo-yo loach. I came on here to ask if it would ever grow back, and it was the general consensus that it would not because it was a limb, and rarely do limbs ever grow back on animals.
I have been keeping a very close eye on this little guy, and his lower jaw has almost fully grown back
So in case this ever happens to anyone eles's fish, we will know how to help them!!

Wow - I find it remarkable that his "beak" regenerated like that. Great lesson to pass on.

I agree, I was very suprised. When I first started watching him I thought that it was wishful thinking

BTW, still working on those pics, he's a tough little bugger to catch in the lens
