hembo666 Big Fish Posts: 350 Kudos: 288 Votes: 3 Registered: 01-Apr-2005 | Hi, please read my profile as you will need the information on there to advie me with this one. problem is due to a change of circumstance resulting in a lack of time i need to lose a tank so one of the 15g tanks has to go (tempory i hope) the question is how do i re-distribute my fish? although i would rather not, giving away the odd fish is a possibility i would consider if it helped the majoity, thanks |

Serpaes can be nippy, but the barbs in the other tank might be a little fast and active for the tetras. Provided enough plant cover and a compatible temperature range (warm), I think the smaller tank for the cardinals will be fine. The otto will be better off in the larger tank if there is enough algae available. Though there are two bristlenose plecs in there, I doubt they clean off the leaves on most or all of the plants. The loaches are the biggest problem. Putting them in the larger tank would make for too many bottom-dwelling fish, but the Botia in the fifteen gallon could well bully the other loaches. B. modesta is known to be somewhat aggressive for a loach. If it's a small specimen I might risk the other loaches in there, and see how they do. But you may need to get rid of the B. modesta if the worst case happens. |
