[font color="#000080"]Hey guys,

I'm going to New Zealand next month!!! How exciting!!!
Simply can't wait anymore (it's my fist time to NZ).
It's only for a week (i think).

But I'm a little worried about my fish (i know it's too early for worrying).
It's always a good idea to plann early.

What should I feed them? Or shall I let them feed on the plants?
Water change will be normal since I change water during weekends.
What else do I need to take into account?

Any suggestion will be great!

Thanks,
Jimmy

If it's only for a week, shouldn't be a big deal. Myself, I would use an automatic feeder and have the lights on a timer, and do a good water change the night before I left.

I would feed them a good helping of frozen food 3x daily the day before you leave do a water change after the last meal and they should be fine for the week.

Feed them, good healthy food the week prior to your departure & then feed them again as soon as you'll arrive.

For the lights, you can use a reliable Timer.

[font color="#000080"]Is it a good idea to put some of those vacation food in the tank the morning I'm leaving?
You know those one like a big chunk, and i think some of it dissolves every day.
Is it better that way or just leave the fish like it is?

those aren't very good... they're made with plaster and can harden your water...

A week is not long. The best thing is an automatic feeder. If you have a trustworthy friend who can come in and feed your fish a couple of times that week (given exact instructions), that is a reasonable alternative.
