Vacationing? Never Visit A Pet Store | |
sirbooks Moderator Sociopath Posts: 3875 Kudos: 5164 Votes: 932 Registered: 26-Jul-2004 | I made that mistake today. Well over a dozen species I've wanted for a long time and never seen for sale. Fish I've tried hard to find without success. Rare specimens, weird things, stuff like that. I even saw a sale tank of Corydoras guapore who'd had fry! And no way to get any of them home. It's a heart-breaker. |

I usually make it a point to visit fish stores when ever I travel, and it just makes me that more disappointed as to what is available locally. It's always amazing to me the variety of fish that's available in some locals and not others. I know it's probably just a matter of supply and demand, but it doesn't make it any easier to know that the chance of getting some better varieties locally is rather low. Jim |

Bad enough my discovering that they had Anomalochromis thomasi in stock after my spending the best part of thirty years looking for them ... |

And does it have discus & Fancy goldfish in tanks on the back wall at the back? And on the L shaped desk Where you pay for the fish/things you bought, Does it have a tiny show tank? And outside on the board does it have a clown fish? If yes, That is where I go! Gosh! (Sirbooks, It is Pure torture! and sorry for hijacking your topic, R_Boy |
