if the water in a fish tank is not level because the aquarium is on an angle, will it have an effect on the fish or tank?

Keep it level or it will slowly fall to the side and the tank will shatter. Also bad for the floors. Too risky to have heavy things such as fish tanks at an angle.

wont have any effect on the fish, but if your talking about a good size tank with alot of water, your putting stress on the tanks seals on one side more than the other and it will cause tank damage down the road....

Level your tank as soon as you can............. it isn't a good sign to have the tank at an angle.

Like ConKhi & Vic said, it may shatter or the seals will come off.

My 10 gallon tank has been at a slight angle (about 1/8" for over three years, and I haven't experienced any problems.

But then again, it is just a 10 gallon...

I'm not your neighbor, you Bakersfield trash.

I don't think there would be any risks to your fish but just make sure if you did it that the tank is sturdy and wont slide off and break.
