How often and how much of the water do you recommend I change during cycling. I have a 5 gallon tank w/ 4 fish. And a Hang On Back filter.

Whenever your Ammonia or Nitrites approach dangerous levels.

4 fish might be too many to cycle a 5 gal. You're going to have to keep on top of the water testing.

Test the water twice daily and change it if needed, I usually changed 50%. I don't know the numbers offhand but a good test kit will have the levels.
