I have little spots covering the insides of the walls of my tank. They resemble snail eggs, but they are much smaller and completely cover the walls. It is also on the top of the water. They sway with the current like snail eggs do. I have no snails in the tank. Could this be algae? Bacteria? Any ideas?

Does it look like little worms? I've seen them like that.

It's overstocked.
29gal: 5 cories,5 zebra danios,2 giant danios,3 gouramis,3 mollies,1 electric yellow,1 brichardi an 2 neon rainbows.
I pay for the overstocking with deeper cleanings and 50% water changes weekly. It's been cycled. Nitrates are up a tad because it's two days away from the water change. I've just noticed this since my last water change. It completely covers all four sides of the tank.

Kim

ps. none of my other tanks have this. I do all my water changes on the same day.

Cories often lay eggs on walls. I don't know what they look like, just that they lay eggs on walls of the tank. Perhaps?

They are too small to be cory eggs. The eggs that corys lay are about the size of this "o".

Are they tiny bubbles?

I'm not your neighbor, you Bakersfield trash.

They can't be eggs. They are on every side of the tank from top to bottom. They aren't bubbles, they stay in place on the walls and sway back and forthe with the water current.

I think I know what you mean. I used to get em all the time. I think its a form of algae. I dont get it anymore though. My tank went from those to brown algae and now green and blackish green algae.

I have had this in my tank. It's just starting to ease up a bit. Having asked every fish store employee I could get in touch with, it seems this is a type of algae. Just put up with it for a little longer and it should ease. then you will go through another type of algae phase, then all should be okay. I scrub my front panel regularly, otherwise I can't see my fish.

I think I also have what your are talking about, but in my cichlid tank. Scrub it off for weekly water changes, but it all keeps coming right back.

This last time it's not as bad as previous occasions however. I'm not sure what they are, but they/it seems to be harmless so far.
