He is extremely overstocked in his 10g..that is probably one source of his algae problem. Paul: make sure you only leave your hood lights on for about 8 hours. If you can add some plants in there, that will help a little with the algae. If you have low light, some good plants are java fern, anubias, and crypts. The first two mentioned will need to be attached to rocks or driftwood. Clean out all the algae you can. I would do twice weekly water changes, since you are overstocked. Do atleast 40% each time. |
