	What are Koi worth?
doggy lover Small Fry Posts: 4 Kudos: 1 Votes: 0 Registered: 05-May-2006	I recently traded in a butterfly koi, body was about 8 inches long then the tail. I got about $60 worth of Tropical fish, would this have been a fair price? The Koi was getting to big for a 30 gallon tank so this is why I decided to go to Tropical. I may be a doggy person but I love fish too.

dan76 Big Fish Always Reading Posts Posts: 343 Registered: 08-Jul-2003	it all depends what you paid for the koi, if you were happy with the deak then its ok , but most likely the lfs will have the koi for sale for heaps more. bu ti dont know a specific price for your area, do you have a pic of it? OH TOLEEDY!

I paid about $6 for it when it was just a little babe. I was thinking at that price, I have a large natural pond at my cottage I should look at breeding and raising some Koi? I wonder how hard it is. I may be a doggy person but I love fish too.
