Hello

I'm trying to determine if I can add some fish to my tank, and make it a little more interesting.

I currently have 3 platys, 2 african dwarf frogs, a male betta, and a very large gold mystery snail (who eats anything in his path, I will probably be shifting him to my mother's 20 gallon tank, so i can start adding some plants that won't be eaten)

So can i add anything to my tank that would make it a little more exciting?

Thanx in advance

Welcome to FP.
I wouldn't add any fish, but i would add some easy to keep plants, after moving your Snail.

I would ask that question in the Plant section. There are alot of members that are experts on plants & i've always asked for advice there. You myst tell them how much wattage of light do you have & what type of substate you are using.

But thats only 3 platies and a betta and 2 small frogs, I think he could add a couple more small fish, say guppies. Don't you think?

No, the tank is actually pretty much stocked. And you have to think about the fact that the platties are livebearers and will be making babies, so you really don't want to add anything else

For a 10 gal. tank, it's pretty stocked. Maybe some live Plants, but the Snail should be removed first.

How many female platies do u have? If 2f/1m i'd say add another female, remove your betta and plant heavily your 10g tank with java moss, anacharis and hornwort. Plant some to the substrate and let some float. Then, prepare for tankful platies... muhahahah!!! kid'n!
