Try blanched shredded romaine lettuce. Its a no calorie option, just use it as a filler alongside normal feedings to fill in the day a bit. I give it to some of my lot when theyre driving me nuts beating in the plants.

Its not a good part of diet, its little more than water and fibre TBH, but as long as they get their normal food too it'll just fill them up a bit without putting the pounds on.

Seasons greetings to you too!

Romaine is the least nutrient deficient amongst the lettuces, you could use other stuff too, lambs lettuce etc, but I figure its better not to use iceberg lettuce, lots of creatures will eat that a little too keenly , sometimes in preference to their real diet, and there nothing in it, some potential for nutritional deficiency there. Its just one of those odd things in life, but lots of creatures from reptiles through to fish get a little too addicted to it.

Hey git, thanks for the reply, I appreciate the help.

Heres an update, theyre not very fond of the romaine lettuce......they are about as indifferent to the lettuce as they are excited about the shrimp I feed em.

They're really growing too, they've gotten alot bigger in just a couple months...
