littleslicknick![]() Fingerling Posts: 40 Registered: 19-Mar-2004 ![]() | I have a 1.5 US gallon bowl with an air-stone. I plan to do 100% weekly water changes. What, besides a Betta, can I keep in here. The temperature will remain around roughly 70 degrees which is the air temperature of the office it is being kept in. Any ideas? I was thinking like 3 White Cloud Mountain Minnows. ob |

Any other fish is going to get basically cramped in that little of space anyways. . . If you wanted, you could also throw in a ghost shrimp with your betta. |

littleslicknick![]() Fingerling Posts: 40 Registered: 19-Mar-2004 ![]() | What about Killis? I feel that there must be other options besides a Betta. With vigilance and careful watching, I must be open to more options. What is my limiting factor? Is it the gallonage or the temperature or the lack of filter or something else? THERE HAVE TO BE MORE OPTIONS ] !!!! I'm not screaming at any one in particular.... just yelling . Thanks again. |

If it was utterly stuffed with plants (I mean can't-see-the-back style, not "well there's a couple of pieces of java fern), yes, you could get away, in my opinion, with a pair of a small killi species. Except that they'd soon jump out. How about a few fancy shrimp? Cherry shrimp are cool, worth having. Find a betta you love, and you'll have no regrets. If you're not a fan of the long, droopy fins, how about a female, or a plakat? -Molly Visit shelldwellers.com! |

I don't think any other fish will fit in there. :88) http://www.flickr.com/photos/corydoras/ Member of the Malta Aquarist Society - 1970. http://www.maltaaquarist.com |

As was said betta's are really the only ones that'd be happy, but thats no reason not to have fun with it. Go planted or do a different themed aquascape for each season/month....just be aware of stress from daily changes and such .^_^ ![]() |
