I'm not sure wether this post belongs here or in the hospital forum, but i guess a mod can move it if it's in the wrong place...
Anyway, 2 days ago, i got a male betta, i put him in a 5gal tank. Today i noticed 2 little wormy things in the tank. They're about 1cm long, and transparent, when i first looked at them, i thought they were a spring or something. They werent floating around or anything, they'd latched themselves onto the side of the tank. I took them out straight after i saw them. I don't have a camera, so i can't show you any pictures, but does anyone have any idea what they are?

sounds like a hydra. Not likely to harm your betta, they're dangerous to small or weak fishes only.

It wouldn't be hydra. Hydra look like little anemones or something.

My guess is planaria. They are relatively common in aquariums. They usually come from overfeeding and the like.

They shade the glow of it with their mossy-misty costumes,
They wear masks of silk, porcelain, brass, and silver,
So as not to mislead with their own, ordinary faces.
