I'm a long way away as my tank is still cycling. Right now I have 4 platies in my 10 gallon tank. Some things I am considering are 1 male betta or a m/f pair of honey gouramis or some cory's. Comments/suggestions? |

There are some "dwarf" cory's that may work out. Your platies are going to quickly overpopulate your tank once they start having little ones, unless you only have either males or females. You need to take that into consideration for future stocking. If adding a honey gourami, I would limit it to just one and not go for a pair. Jim ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Any less and you are doing an injustice to them as many others on this site will attest to. Jim ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Are there any other small cichlids that might work for me? |

A 10 gallon tank will be a bit cramped for a pair of Rams. I would go with just one, and even then there might be some territoriality issues when you try to add more fish. If you want cichlids, I personally would go with Checkerboard Cichlids. They tend to be smaller and less aggressive than Rams, and you could probably keep a pair in a 10 gallon tank with no problems. ![]() I'm not your neighbor, you Bakersfield trash. |
