Alright, the latest in the gourami sagga, is that the male died, sometime last night or this morning.

So I'm left with that brat of a female, and I can't put anything else in with her cause I think she'll kill them too.

So... Should I.. keep the female, or trade her in and get something else?

If the latter choice, what do you suggest I get?
The water pH here is naturally 8.0 I'd like something compatible for that.

If you're afraid she'll kill other fish I'd definitely trade her in.

With that pH you could go with some small Tanganyikan cichlids, set up a shellie tank.

I've never kept them, they're on the fish-wish-list

I would trade the little girly and get some rams!

But you have to be ready to let a fish go to a new home. That is up to you when you are ready. I took a female texas to trade and they put her in their display tank. She was a pretty girl. And there was a little boyfriend in there for her too.

If you don't want to go with shell dwellers, I would suggest a female Betta and a school of Neons or Glowlights (both are too quick to be caught if kept in a group under 7)
