Omega One...there are other brands?

Looking at the ingredients, it starts out with whole salmon, halibut, black cod, whole herring, shrimp , krill, wheat flour, wheat gluten, fresh kelp, etc. Most other fish foods start out with fish meal, flour, etc. as the main ingredients. My fish notice the difference.

TetraMin, the rich mix. I also use the spirulina blend for my guppies/danios. The flakes could be considered the staple food, I guess, though I only feed them 2-3 times a week. I have a wide variety of foods for my fishies that they seem to enjoy.

Their favored foods are the Tetra Nature's Delica (the gel-packed foods) and frozen brine shrimp and blood worms. All my bettas go wild over the gel-packed foods, so I get every variety I can find. I've had them nearly rip the bag out of my hand to get to the food.

~Meow. Thus spoke the cat.~

Just buy local packaged pond flakes for staple, mix with some wardley total tropical flakes and some flakes from a local store that they make themselves.

It's not a flake, but my staple food (actually, more or less my only food - I've ceased to supplement frozen foods and so on since I switched, since it's supposed to have everything in it) is Newlife Spectrum.

Well, I wasn't sure what to put. Nutrafin Color for my apisto tank and Bio-Blend small cichlids pellets and Bio-Blend bottom feeder wafers and also some LFS brand spirulia flakes. For my african tank I use Plankton Gold from Brine Shrimp Direct, spirulina flakes, and Hikari Gold pellets. I also supplement each tank with zucchini, cucumber, and lettuce leaves. Oh yeah, I also use frozen bloodworms, frozen brine shrimp, and a frozen community mix made by San Francisco Bay. Yeah, about covers it.
