I was wondering what tanks a 24" strip light would fit on, besides a 20H. Im only talking about one fixture, not adding a second to fit any of the 48" tanks. Do any of those odd oceanic "designer" tanks fit a 24"? What about any bow-fronts? I know it seems like an odd request, but i have my reasons

That it officially fits on, I wanna say a 20H or a 10 and that's it. I use 24" lights strips on my 62 gallon too b/c I have the filter off the side instead of the back, so a 24" is what I need in order for it to fit...other than that, it'll work for tank that just have glass-tops b/c the true strip size isn't too important with those. It shouldn't fit any bowfronts that I know of but I'm sure you may one day come across a custom tank designed with a 24" surface area that's greater than 20 gal, but I wouldn't want to keep any fish in it...

Ive decided to explain myself. I have a 20H reef in the works. I just did some mapping and planning and it seems i have significantly more space in the room i have the 20g in for a slightly larger tank. But I just bought a 24" Coralife Aqualight for the 20 and there is no way i am getting new lighting for a larger tank. I dont have much more space though, so i cant exactly throw in a 40 long. I THINK i may have found something, OCEANIC has a tank, 37g, 24.5"x18.5"x21". I really hate tall tanks though.

The only thing that matters is whether this is a HOOD or just a STRIP. If it's a strip only, then it can fit on the glasstops of a tank that's larger than it's designed for. If it's a hood, it only fits VERY specific dimensions exactly...

Its just a strip, I guess a 30" tank would be ok, but anything longer wouldnt work out too well.

Yeah, 30'll be fine, could probly even get away with 'em on 36" too, but it would be pushing it...

24" strip perfect for a 29 gal tank..

Or you could use it as a 2nd strip light on a larger tank to supplement the lighting.

The Amazon Nut...
