Those are pictures, i cant seem to find out what this is.

It is like flakey, and it floats in water.

It is growing on the glass, and the filter, and the rocks - but it is where the water line is on the filter, and on the glass where water used to be.

This doesnt really look like hard water stains.

Does anyone know what this is, and how to get rid of it for good? I have tried scrubbing the whole tank, but it doesnt seem to keep it from coming back.

Thanks alot!

Its some sort of depostie thats coming from where the water used to be in your tank. I would keep the water higher and see if you can get a little more current in your tank.

This is a newts tank, they dont like current at all.

I acually tried that, and the newts food would just keep flying around the tank, and he couldnt catch it.

Surprisingly, the water doesnt evorporate from that tank.

But i do agree with it was from where water was, since it is on the tank glass, and on the rocks.

Thanks alot, i took alot of floating plants out of my fishtank, cuz it was catching all of the food, and like making this brown slimy stuff on them.

Im going to probably re-design their tank (again) and add the floating plants.
