I'm not sure either. When my Angel's eggs turn white it means they are dead but the whole egg is opaque white, no clear substance. The white fuzzy stuff is probably fungus, that's what happens to Angel eggs when they are not fertile.

Maybe something spawned and the eggs died or maybe a female just expelled her eggs. They should not have fungused so soon if it only happened last night though. They might have been down in the substrate for a few days and just now floated up.

They almost sound like amphibian eggs with the clear stuff around them.

This probably hasn't been much help. If I were you and thought they had a chance of hatching, I'd take them out and put them in a different tank. If you don't think they are likely to hatch get them out and toss them.

What do you feed? could it be some old pellets that have been in the substrate that started to fungus and floated up?

Good luck, Mike

Could be fungused eggs or fungused food. Either way, get 'em out soon, they're definite pollutants when they go bad.
