Well, here is a old and allways asked question. I like to fit the following fish into my 120 liter tank.I have a very powerful powerhead filter for this tank. I use life plants and a homemade CO2 Injection and this gives me a PH of 7 - 7.5. Whithout the CO2 I will have a PH of 8 plus. The filter is positioned that there is a current with rocks for hiding spaces. I am not to sure if the fishes will like a strong current. Specialy the leopard corydoras. I know that some of these fishes will get very large(12 cm for the Swortail, Bristelnose will even get larger). This is not the first tank I have had in my life but it has been a few years between them. I conduct weekly waterchanges. So here is my list
3 Leopard Corydoras / Corydora Julii
3 Upside-down Catfish/ Syndodontis Nigriventris
2 Pearl gourami/ Tichogasteri Ieeri
4 Dwarf gourami/ Colisa lalia
4 Honey Gourami/ Corisa sota
2 Three Spot Gourami/ Trichogaster trichopoterus
2 Thick lipped gourami/ Colisa labiosa
2 Swordtail/ Xiphophorus helleri
3 Bristelnose catfish
Overstocked? Thank's in advance for your reply

yeah thats overstocked... the other problem with this tank is that is is all surface and bottom dwellers with the exception of swortails. since all of the gouramis will hang out at the top around the surface, they will be way to crowded. I would say you probably shouldnt put more than like 2 slightly larger ones like pearls and 2 or 3 smaller ones like dwarf or honey gouramis. I had 2 honey gouramis in a 10 gallon and they fought for territory constantly. I think you should pick out like 2 larger gouramis and 2 smaller gouramis, some mid-dwelling fish like the swordtails maybe 4 male swords, and a school of 6 cories and 1 or 2 larger catfish like BN or upsidedown.

Yeah, that tank would be way overstocked. As has been said, you have mostly top and bottom dwellers. I'd change up the stocking some, trim down the list, and try schools of small fish instead of all the gouramis.
Here is my suggestion:
6 cories (they don't mind current too much)
1 bristlenose
3 dwarf gouramis
8 tetras (your choice, but not large ones like congos)

And when he gets to Heaven, to Saint Peter he will tell: "One more Marine reporting, Sir! I've served my time in Hell."
