Hi. After I stirred the substrate up in one of my 2.5g betta tanks, I noticed a lot of short, white "strings" about '--' long (look like small pieces of thread) :%) everywhere in the tank. At first I thought they were worms as they seem to move. I left the betta out and have watched the tank for a couple days. It's been 3 days now, and it/they are still floating around everywhere in the tank. I have several apple snails in the tank, and I was wondering if it might be their detritus.

So, what are your opinions on this?

Probobly snail poop. I have tons of tiny snails in my tank and there is light browny strings about this long __ everywhere. They are curled though. Do they actually wiggle they are alive?

Yes, it is most likely the snails, they are kinda messy and since you ahve a "couple" in just a 2.5 gallon tank you may want to take some out

probabbly snail poo, and enjoy the "couple" while it still is a "couple", you'll have a TON of snails in a while
