| Would this be considered a good deal? | |

It's only about 6 months old. Sounds good to me, but how would I move it? would it un-cycle itself in the process? (It's located about 40 mins. from where I live) Is this a good deal for a tank? |

You'd also have to find a way to take the fish for the 40 minute drive without dying. |

I mean, I basically had to do the same thing when I change my substrate in my tank....it took me a few hours w/ planting. Also, there are battery operated air pumps... If you have other tanks, you could also use filter media from those tanks in the new one.... Or try getting some Cycle or a similar product that helps w/ cycling. I've had great luck w/ it, personally. A 40 gallon can be a few different sizes.... They should be able to look and see what the filters are....and measure it for you... Christina |

If you're looking to buy a used tank, then buy a used tank only and spend no more than $2.00 (US) per gallon. As for the rest of the stuff, price it out and offer 5% of what it would cost new. The electrical equipment will not come with a guarentee, so for all you know it could last no more than a day. As for the fish, it depends on you. I'd say to offer to take the fish as a service to the seller (free). These may not be the fish you want. This all of course depends on the equipment and fish. If they're all top-notch really expensive items, then maybe 10%. |
