As it really depends on your particular Betta I would not suggest it. Most Bettas are not that fond of any other pretty fish (although there are exceptions to every rule). And again, as already stated, please do not put an angel in a 20 because that's not enough room for them. There are many other types of fish that could easily go with a Betta to make up a beautiful & peaceful community. I currently have a Betta in with my juvenile platies and they tend to swim with each other and I've never seen any aggression in the Betta. Just my experience.

I too have kept them together, but as Janna said, a 20 is a bit too small for an angel, plus the fact that betta temperaments can vary greatly amongst individuals.

I've got a Betta in with a Veil Tail Silver and a Gold Angel and have had no problems.

Good Luck, Mike

I wouldn't put an angel in a 20 in the first place.

Yeah, it would be a bad idea even in a bigger tank. Those long fins are just too appealing.

They shade the glow of it with their mossy-misty costumes,
They wear masks of silk, porcelain, brass, and silver,
So as not to mislead with their own, ordinary faces.
