Mine are schooling together info i found is that there not suposed to tollerate each other, pluss mine are in total fresh water. Any info from someone keeping them would be helpfull. Hmmm... That's interesting, since Datnoids can be very territorial towards each other... On the other hand, you can get the nicer ones every now and then.

Datnoids can indeed be kept in full freshwater quite easily. I don't actually know anyone keeping them in brackish conditions...:%)

Haven't kept them myself, but I'm considering it. They're cool.:88)

They'll get about a foot and a half long. Pretty hefty fish, but few are that large. However, when they get that large you can sell these buggers for $500 easy.

I found some info, on the Siamese Tiger Fish, and it says, that this fish is a community fish, that can go with other small fish though it is a predator, so it will probally eat other small fish. It says it needs a spacious tank, brackish and a heavily planted tank, best kept with just its own kind.

Also it getsto about 30-40 cm, and likes temparaures from 22-26 degrees C.

I got this from a book I have not on the internet so I can't give you a web address.

Hope that this helps.
