Chinese Algae eaters do an awesome job with taking care of algae but they can be aggresive as they get older due to territorial issues. I would cross check any other fish you might have in your tank with the compatibility section of this site just to make sure before getting one... BTW, Welcome to the site! ![]() |

SAEs and CAEs just get too big for a 20 gallon. They wear masks of silk, porcelain, brass, and silver, So as not to mislead with their own, ordinary faces. |

I am sure that the RTBS will have to go to a larger tank someday but by then I hope to move the whole scheme to a 75 long. |

But a 75 would be perfect for a rtbs a school of white clouds, rasboras, barbs, and 3-4 SAES |

For a little while, you might be able to keep the RTBS and the WCMMs in the 20 gallon. But there definitly wouldn't be room for anything else in that tank. |

Would fit in a 20g no problem, only get to a couple of inches. They are Asian and do ok on algae, but as they are so small you mayneed more then one. Water shouldn't be too warm though, and a bit of current would be appreciated. Amano Shrimp. At least they have a Japanese name but not sure if they are actually Asian. Latin name Something Japansomething forget the proper spelling. Anysway sure sound Asian. Tiny bio load could fit quite a few in a 20. Remember that age and treachery will always triumph over youth and ability. |
