	bit of fun, it's a head scratcher!
Toirtis Mega Fish Posts: 1260 Kudos: 529 Votes: 6 Registered: 24-Feb-2003	Although the fins almost suggest a Pseudomugil species, the shape off the dorsal and the shape of the mouth are not dissimilar to a Poecilidae.....bit of a puzzle, this one.

superlion Mega Fish Posts: 1246 Kudos: 673 Votes: 339 Registered: 27-Sep-2003	Doesn't look like a characin to me. No adipose fin. Looks more like a cyprinid. A lot like a minnow, in fact, though I don't know what kind. Sort of like a rainbow shiner in breeding colors with big fins. ><>

It is probably a characin or cyprinid of some type, though I'm leaning towards characin. I've never seen a fish like that before, it is very beautiful. And when he gets to Heaven, to Saint Peter he will tell: "One more Marine reporting, Sir! I've served my time in Hell."
