i have been breeding endlers, but not guppies. i just got 3 males and 2 female guppies and they are liveing in a 30g quartine tank 4 now. my question is how long should it take for them to breed. however my friend sold me these fish and the males and females were kept in separet tank so they have had any contact with eachother.

You should get more female guppies so the male ones do not harass the females one and give them stress.

Guppies are pretty easy to breed, they basically do it themselves. They aren't called the "one million fish" for nothing.:%)

Anyway you can induce breeding by feeding live foods so that they think their is plenty of food for their young. Also get some plants for the young to hide in, or they become food for the parents.

Cheers

Definitely best to outnumber F to M. 1M/2F is good, 1M/3F is even better. Not much else you have to do beyond normal fish care.

These fish should start to breed very soon. The males once they start to breed and the others catch on, they will be breeding prolificly.
