They are burrowing animals, and feed mainly on worms. I'm not sure how hard they are to keep, but rest assured if you get one you will never see it.

As far I know, they aren't normally offered in the pet trade...

They are also notorius for escaping their aquarium. My cousins escaped and was later found dried up on the floor. The aquarium had a full glass hood as well. They can get out the tiniest gaps.

If you mean things like tadpoles, the can be alright for a tank, but will probably be eaten. I wouldn't recommend you keep them.

Caecilians aren't tadpoles...

They are basically giant earthworms (with backbones).

Are they ever a orange color during their lifespan. I though I saw a orangish color one on a website and it didn't make much reference to the coloration.

There are many different species of Caecilians. They're a whole order of organisms all by themselves, I believe. The orange one is likely another species than the commonly sold grey ones. In fact, it might even be one of the terrestrial species...

I bought some plants a couple weeks ago at a auction, most likely they are from a local breeder and I noticed some orange worms. They were thin 1 inch long and bright color. Did not appear to have legs, hair or other features. Did look sort of looked segmented. Rinsed the plants good and haven't noticed any intruder in the tank. Could these possible be baby caecilians

Nope, that was just a worm.

Caecilians are fairly large amphibians; most species get over a foot long.
