	changing fish around
greenmonkey51 Fish Master Posts: 1571 Kudos: 1692 Votes: 5 Registered: 28-Jan-2004	i have a empty 10g and a 20g with a pair of female bettas. i want to put the bettas in the 10g. but its not even setup. im going to put in gravel soon. im going to put a whisper 20 on the 10g and i have a filter pad in my 75g that was off my whisper 20. if i setup the 10g could i use the bettas to sort of cycle it even though i would use old filter media in the new filter. im getting a filter with flow control knob

Posts: 2266 Kudos: 2194 Votes: 19 Registered: 18-Nov-2003	I cycled my twenty gallon with my female bettas... shrugs They never showed signs of stress during the time and that was starting from scratch, with nothing to jumpstart the cycle. I'd just set up the tank and let it settle for a day or so before adding the filter pad and fish. Of course, that's just me. :%) ~Meow. Thus spoke the cat.~
