i have been trying different kinds of fish, at the moment i have plattys, bettas, swords, guppies, oscar, bass, and some wild minnows, i like the guppies, plattys, female bettas, but i want to sell my oscar, swords, and some guppy fry, i want to breed a cichlid that doesnt have many fry, the fry develope fast, and 1 that wont attack the few fish that will be in the 30 gallon with them, i dont want the male bettas, but i love them i want to breed them too i am confused on what i should do any ideas?

Multis and breviis both have rather specialized requirements, and should only be kept with other non aggresive, small tangs. If you have an extra 10-20 gall to spare, these are the fish for you.

i wanted something i could breed easly, if i get the first name then i will use one of my unused 10 gallons, but this isnt for now, this for after i sell about half my fish, i cant wait untill that i am a little over whelmed with all these species, i want a shelli with special needs so i can know i am actualy caring for it insted of just feeding and doing water changes, my new generation of plattys is on the way, the oscar is now becoming trouble, and the swwords just are there and i feel no connection with them, i will breed guppies to sell not keep, i will keep most of the platty fry but the rest have to go if walmart cant take the fry of the shellys then i know a place that may, the second 1 sounds like i will have babys ALL the time, the goodpart is i dont have to remove them or feed them much of anything special, i cant wait.

Try looking up some Apistogramma Borelli or some Apistogramma Cacs. The cacs are what I'd recommend. They're gorgeous fish and easy to breed in neutral water. Cacs are also easy to keep. They come in many kinds (double and triple red and orange flash are popular right now). Rams are more difficult to breed than cacs. For multis to breed, you'd need harder, more alkaline water (PH around 8 and GH in the teens). Also, shellies can be nasty fish when breeding. Apistos are aggressive also, but not as much as shellies.
