What kind of barbs are they? You have 10 so they can school together and technically shouldn't bother your cories but anything is possible.

i have 5 moss green & 5 tigers. they school quite well & don't appear to bother cories. they r ravinous (sp?) eaters (the barbs that is).

I am not experienced enough to tell you what is going on. But my tigerbarbs sometimes would huddle around the food i gave to my pictus catfish and "defend" it against him. That happened once in a while.

what size tank?

I would get some sinking food(Hikari, sinking pellets, wafers) for the cories and feed them daily

I agree with Me is.. hikari sinking wafers are awesome, as well as a mixture of shrimp pellets, algae wafers, and tabi-min (tetra sinking tablets)

i tryn to feed them. i add some sinking pellets a few times a week. i must admit the barbs go crazy over any food & maybe there isn't much left? the cories seem low on energy levels. the tank is 3 ft (160litres).

I currently have a 35GAL "Barb" tank in which all the barbs my wife and I own are living in it.

I also have (1) Siamese Algae Eater and (1) Bristlenose Plecostomus and I can say that the Barbs (Tiger, Albino, Green or Moss, Rosy and Golden) will, after eating their food, go after the wafers and pellets and as Frank put it, defend the food from the SAE and Pleco.

I've watched on numerous occassions, my 2 Large Male T-Barbs go AFTER the pleco to get a wafer. I've watched one get "finned" by the pleco only to come back again. My guys (and gals) seem to have all courage and no brains.

I once had 3 Paleatus Corydoras in the tank, I placed them in late evening during "lights out", that next morning, 3 skeletal remains of 2" Corydoras were found. In a matter of 12 hours they killed and ate the 3 Corydoras.

When hungry enough (they always seem hungry), they will bother the SAE and Pleco...
