Possible... yes in fact it is... but there are elements besides ammonia in urine that would make the water unlivable to fish, and maybe the bacteria it's self.

Well our urine is mostly urea, unlike fish-wastes which are mostly ammonia. Therefore, the nitrifying bacteria wouldnt have as much to work with. Would it work, probably, but it would be slower than a normal cycle (IMO).

it would work, it would take a long long long long time, and when you put fish in, it would probably kill them.

I heard a guy did this once.

Best thing to do is buy some pure clear ammonia with no additives. To check this shake the bottle you should not get suds to form. It is also very cheap less then $1.00.

LOL! I wondered about that too! Not that I ever actually planned to try it, but I get a very funny image in my head thinking about seeing some guy peeing in a big aquarium, and calling it "Maitenance". LOL
