quick question.. my ammonia and nitrite are at 0, no nitrate test at the moment, and my ph is at 7.2 a little high but bearable. I also tested teh water hardness and let me tell you, hard ismt the word i'm going to get a water softner on the way home but i was just wodnering if that was why my water is hazy and why i can keep tetras to save my life?

entirely possible. dont rule out touchy tetras tho, bad batches do come thru, but id say its your water.

I agree with calla, a lot of tetras are just bad news, dying off for no reason. However, on the other side it could be your water.

Try the water softener, it may help out.
