Does anybody know how many dwarf puffers can live in a ten gallon without beating each other up? and do you know how much they cost?

Thanks

Nick

well that would all depend on how big the puffers are and the kind of filtration you will have in the ten gallon tank. but assuming you have good filtration system i say 2 at the most if they get no bigger than 3-4 inches but some would say that would be overstoking. im not to familiar on how big they get but if they get bigger than that the tank will be to small. i suggest you get a bigger tank you can never go wrong with that the bigger the better. i seen 3 inch puffers run for 5-10 dollars but thats in my area.

That would be decent advice for normal puffers obsexion, but dwarf puffers are teeny-tiny ones that are fresh-water puffers and stay MINISCULE.

You could probably keep 8 in there without a problem. You could probably go with even a couple more, but I'd just stick with eight if I were you. The mass of the group will cause them to not fight amongst themselves and just share the territory. Remember to feed them snails so that their teeth won't get overgrown too

As for cost, I can't tell you because the costs can vary GREATLY across the country and world and even across cities. Just find out a price for them and determine if you want them bad enough to pay what the person is asking for them...

PM/email/msg me if you have any questions/comments regarding me or my knowledge or if you want me to read a thread.

Go to http/tekipaki.jp to tell the difference. Emerald puffers are freshwater, while green spotted puffers are brackish. For a more complete list of fersh and brackish puffers. Go to www.thepufferforum.com
