convicts are extremly easy t breed

The difference between 'involvement' and 'commitment' is like an bacon and egg breakfast: the chicken was 'involved' - the pig was 'committed'."

Platies are nice. They come in all kinds of colours. They're active and peaceful. And you'll be overrun with fry before you know it.

If you really just want to breed fish, a pair of guppies is your best bet. They are cheap, very common, and somewhat nice-looking. They are also extremely easy to breed, as you don't need to make any special accommodations for them.

So lets pretend i have a 10 gallon or a 20 gallon. What would you recomend for both setups? I don't currently have any of those minnows available locally thats the only problem, any other suggestions?

Any of the common livebearers would be *extremely* easy - too easy, in fact, one invariably is swamped with fry. For a species that's easy but won't overpopulate, you might look into White Cloud Mountain Minnows. Given a lot of java moss and some space, these guys will keep the tank populated but not overstocked for years to come.
