I had some angels, two of which I still have from a year ago. Those were the strong ones that survived the cycle until I found fishprofiles to guide me in the correct direction. Yay!

goldfish in a bowl, his name was herb and one hot summer weekend he boiled while we were on vacation. then came the mollies, which bred every time it snowed (and it snowed a lot...). that was when i was a kid.

few years later had a jack dempsy and a firemouth in a 15 gallon. could you guess how that went? didnt turn out too well...

but now, as of 3 months ago, the first fish im REALLY tyring to take care of are tiger barbs.

I had goldfish when I was five. They were in a ten gallon tank, and yes, when they outgrew it, we gave them to someone who had a pond.

My first fish was a male Betta.

Of course my first experience with fish keeping was when my parents bought a 10 gallon. About 7 common goldfish and 1 Cory were tourtured in that tank. That's why I learned as much as I could before getting my own fish. I didn't want to see more fish die like that.

First fish were platies and an angelfish in my 55G. That was a little over three months ago. I all but one of the platies to the cycle and the angel to camallanus. That Angel has infected my whole tank and has been causing me quite a few headaches.

First real aquarium I got had zebra danios and an apple snail..

I did the required childhood goldfish in a bowl, but the first "real" fish were white cloud mountain minnows.

I'm not proud of it, but I will admit...

My very first fish were 2 fancy goldies in a 2g hex

a couple years later...

My second set were 2 red serapes, 3 neons and a pleco in the 2g hex

How much I've learned.
